Nature of the Work

Blind Treason: The True-Life Story of an American Spy Left Out in the Cold is a memoir written by Jack Daly, Lieutenant Commander, U.S. Navy (Retired). It reflects the author's personal recollection of events spanning his fifteen years of service in U.S. Naval Intelligence, with particular focus on the events of April 4, 1997, and their aftermath.

As a memoir, the work represents the author's recollection, interpretation, and characterization of events. Where dialogue is reconstructed, it represents the author's best recollection of what was said. Some names, locations, and identifying details may have been altered to protect the privacy of individuals not central to the public record.
