The Cover-Up: Some secrets are too dangerous for the truth to survive.

Written by Jack Daly

Lieutenant Commander, U.S. Navy (Retired)

An Act of War.
A Government Cover-up.
A Hero They Tried to Erase.

THE UNTOLD STORY IS HERE

On April 4, 1997, over American waters in the Strait of Juan de Fuca, a Russian ship fired a laser into the eyes of two officers aboard a surveillance helicopter: U.S. Navy Lieutenant Jack Daly and Royal Canadian Air Force Captain Patrick Barnes.

The damage was permanent. The pain has never stopped. Officially, the attack never happened.

The Department of Defense Inspector General recommended that the Navy consider Daly for the Purple Heart. The Navy rejected the recommendation. His Naval Intelligence career ended quietly, and for nearly three decades he could not tell the entire story.

Blind Treason is that story. It cleared government review with zero redactions and carries a foreword by Bill Gertz of The Washington Times, the reporter who first broke it.

What happened in the hours after the flash, and in the years after that, is the part no one has told. Until now.

For the first time, Daly reveals evidence that, until now, only he and his attorney had ever seen.

Neither Brad Thor, Tom Clancy, nor Vince Flynn could invent this story.

In Memoriam

Honoring the life and legacy of Captain Patrick Barnes. A true patriot, devoted friend, and vital part of this journey.

"On April 15, 2026, Pat asked me for Tylenol because his eye was “killing him,” and to pull the blinds down because the sun was too bright… and then he passed on.

I hope he’s flying high somewhere… free of pain.
I miss him everyday."

— Michelle Barnes
